PA Road BAR Seasons Kicks Off This Sunday
Although Mother Nature is being stubborn by holding on to winter weather theres no snow in the forecast, thankfully, for Sunday as 31st Lower Providence Spring Classic Criterium will kick off the 2018 PA Road BAR Series and host the first PA state championship event for U15 JRs (JB/JG 9-10, JB/JG 11-12 and JB/JG 13-14).
31st Lower Providence Spring Classic Criterium – Sunday
Its hard to imagine in todays amateur racing scene where events come and go that a race can stay on the calendar for over 30 years. This Sunday marks the 31st edition of the Lower Providence Criterium (https://www.bikereg.com/daniel-harwi-memorial-24th-annual-lower-providence-spring-classic-criterium) and the race typically signifies the start of the spring racing season.
RD Ken Walsh and the Rothman Institute p/b Talksoft team once again are providing races for many of the PA Road BAR categories and as has been the case for quite a few years the U15 JRs will line up on Sunday to race for state titles and medals.
In addition to the U15 JRs there will be other races that offer PA BAR points including M45+, M55+, M65+, M4, M3, MP-1-2-3 (U23), W4-5 and WP-1-2-3.
Race day starts at 8 AM with the Cat 5 Mens race (30 minutes) and that event is followed by the M55+/M65+ event that will offer PA Road BAR points for the first time in 2018. A long and busy day of racing concludes with the W4-5 race that has a 4 PM start time.
Online Registration Deadline: Friday, Apr 20, 2018 at 11:59 PM ET
